Nabs is celebrating her 17th birthday tomorrow at Italiannies, 1 Utama. I'm not really a big fan on birthdays - since I hardly ever celebrate my own (except for this year). Neither am I a fan of celebrations - parties are just not really my thing. :/ But she's my friend. So I guess I'll just go for her. Another reason why I hate birthdays/celebrations is (NO, I'm not a lonely, bitter person...although that is true, that's not my reasons!) cause I'm a terrible GIFT-GIVER. >_<
I bet everyone of my friends got Nabs her fave Korean boy-band stuff that she's so crazily in to. I don't know anything about Korean boy-bands, so I just bought her the best gift to me: a Silkygirl gift set.

Mum & Joey baked more pastries today. Chocolate cupcakes with chocolate icing. I did help this time: I helped stuff the icing tube with icing & decorated nearly all the cupcakes. And when no one was looking, I ate some sprinkles cause I just couldn't resist those COLORFUL SPRINKLES!! :D In the end, it was okay. A little dry...but hey, it's CHOCOLATE. Chocolate makes all our throats dry. Especially when you've been secretly eating sprinkles all day & lying to your mum that you spilled it on the floor. xD
Guess who started BAKING today? NOT ME! My mum bought this cute 'CAKES AND COOKIES' book yesterday & she got all giddy like a little girl in pigtails. She went baking first thing in the morning today. Of course, she gives the excuse that my 11-year old sister is the one with the natural interest in baking & she's just helping out. LOL
I do what I always do best: NOTHING. Especially when it comes to cooking or making stuff. I just can't do any of it. I don't even try. So I just passed the time by lingering around the kitchen, being in everyone's way, eating the crumbs & licking the giant chocolate-covered mixing spoon. :D
And I was also the one who finished most of everything in less than 3 hours of baking it. xD
Man, baking is fun when you're not the one slaving over a hot oven!
As overplayed as California Gurls is, there’s no assuming that the rest of Katy Perry’s latest album is as cliché. Take away the candy costumes, cotton candy scent (the album does have a whiff of cotton candy!), and the image of Katy spraying whipped cream from her boobs…and what do we have? A goddamn work of art at its very core.
I’ve always loved Katy Perry’s versatility. She can channel youthfulness [Teenage Dream; Not Like The Movies], she can be R&B [E.T.], and she proves that she has as much angst as any teenager has [Circle The Drain – where she sings, “I wanna be your lover, not your fucking mother!”]
The 5th track, Peacock, is one of the best tracks. It’s naughty and cheeky with a hint of mystery. I love it when Katy chants “I wanna see your peacock-cock-cock. Your peacock-cock!” that I can’t help but sing along. It’s addictive. :D
Overall, the album is very fresh and youthful – made for listeners of all ages.
This magazine I used to read when I was 13 used to give out free make-up stuff with every issue. Since I was only 13 & not a fan of any make-up back then (plus, mum was super doubtful over the quality of the stuff you put on your face), I hardly ever used any of the free stuff I got & kept it in a box.
NOW when I'm 17, I'm still not really a fan of make-up. All I wear mainly is black eyeliner & lip gloss. THAT'S ALL. And, after 4 years, you would expect the free make-up from old magazines to be EXPIRED. No way am I putting that on my face!
So while I was disposing all of it today, I had a little fun before trashing it. :D
So this is what happens when you space out while leaving the PLASTIC MICROWAVE COVER on when you're convecting last night's fried chicken at 250°C. It took me a while to pry the MELTED microwave cover off the tray. And the cover was completely fused to my METAL BOWL. Had to trash both the cover & bowl in the end.
My sister & I bought Mum a bottle of MARC JACOBS' DAISY this year for her birthday. I couldn't resist getting a few shots of it first before wrapping it. :D
Since I have already classify myself as practically nocturnal, I will admit that I love taking quiet strolls during a windy night. I love the feeling of the wind brushing against my cheeks and the way it messes up my hair in all directions. I just love it! But I'm guessing not all parents let their teenage daughters take solo walks at night. Mine don't. So I rarely get to take strolls without being babysat by an adult. It's sad, but for my own good. I decided to capture my love of windy nights tonight with a few spontaneous shots of wind-blown hair with my sister. It was so spontaneous that I didn't even bring my camera along. I used my 5 megapixel camera handphone. LOL
I'm glad every other resident in my condo don't favor nightly strolls - or they would've seen two overly joyful girls laughing about messed up hair.
Thanks to yesterday's uber tiring seminar, I overslept today & missed school. I also missed my best friend's birthday & didn't get the chance to give him his present (shared by 6 of my other friends). >_< I did apologize...when I woke up in the afternoon. He's mad, & he wants lunch from me. LOL I deserve it. :/ He'll have to wait till tomorrow to get his present. LOL
I don't want to say that today was a waste of my time. I'll say...today was a waste of my morning. I could've achieved more sleep and skipped the morning crap instead of being one of the first few who showed up to save awesome 5th row seats. But oh well.
I'm super tired. I'm going to relapse into a mini coma & probably skip school tomorrow. T.M. out.
